Day 5: A time you thought about ending your own life

High on life!
Gah, how awful would it be to think about ending your own life? Awful as it may be, the idea has crossed my mind. If I were having a peach of a life, which we all have to agree I am not (who does anyway?), then living a long and unending life would be first on my wish list. But to take my own life is something I cannot consider, not even fathom, doing.

For one, life, in whatever way or form, is sacred. It's not ours to take. It's nobody's. It may be God's, my god's, your god's, Mother Nature's, or Buddha's, but it's not ours. All life must end and begin naturally. That I believe in for now.

I have not yet formed my opinion on cloning and stem cell research, so let's not talk about that, too. Also, I cannot talk about abortion without getting "religious" about it, so let's just leave it at that first.

The nuns in my high school can be glad to know that they've finally gotten into my head.

So kids, say no to suicide. If something is bothering you, unburden by calling a friend.

Friends, be sensitive enough to know what's going on with other people. Never underestimate the value of a smile or a simple "hello."

There's nothing sadder than someone feeling so hopeless and alone as to take their own life. I just wish they'd know that someone's always gonna be there for them.
