Product Review: Myra E Vitaglow Tinted Facial Moisturizer

I never really subscribed to the Cleanse-Tone-Moisturizer pre-make-up regimen. Based from experience, my face always ends up looking like a pool of oil after mere minutes if I use a moisturizer as base for my make-up. But lately, I can feel my skin drying up even if I moisturize at night. Also, because of the terrible heat, I have been on the look out for an affordable tinted moisturizer with SPF that I can alternate with my usual foundation.

Just my luck! After seeing this ad, I knew I had to get the Myra E Vitaglow Tinted Moisturizer on my hands ASAP. Good thing I did as I have nothing but praises for this product!

Pros:
  • It's a 3-in-1 product that can multi-task as a moisturizer, make-up base, and sunscreen.
  • Packed with vitamin E and minerals that are good for your skin!
  • Spreads evenly and nicely to cover blemishes and to even out your skin tone.
  • You can skip putting on your concealer and finishing powder when you put on Myra E's tinted moisturizer as a base, cutting your make-up time in half! The first time I used it, I just applied the moisturizer, Shu Uemura Matte Loose Face Powder in 7YR Medium Light, some blush on, a dab of Urban Decay Sin on my eyelids, a swipe of eyeliner, and I was good to go!
  • Very, very, very affordable at P135 for a 35 mL tube.

Left side: sans tinted moisturizer

Right side: with moisturizer. The spots and lines are noticeably lighter.

Cons:
  • There are only two shades available, Ivory and Beige. Still, I don't see it as a problem because the product looks almost non-existent when applied.
  • There are little specks of glitters that I think are supposed to make you glow. Others may be turned off by this, but it doesn't bother me.
  • They could have been more creative with the scent as it smells like any token moisturizer out there. But for P135, it's nothing to complain about.

that's very lovely! you are very lovely! :)

I like Myra because they are very cheap but still quite effective. I heard/read that because Myra was perfected for Asians/Pinoys which is why they are good for the skin? I could be wrong, though.

Hi Mara! Boy im glad you tried this out too!! I just recently wrote a review on this. It's pretty much an ok product, but i wish it had more oil-control properties though. :)

hmm.. compared to maxi-peel concealing cream which has spf20, a concealing effect and make-up base, which do you think is better? nagiging oily ba ang face mo pag sa myra vita glow later of the day?

Hi Anon, I haven't tried Maxi-peel yet, so I can't say. And yes, it tends to get a bit oily after 2-3 hours or so, but nothing a good blotting paper can't remedy.

Hi! I just tried this last week and I really liked it. However, it gave me cystic acne and whiteheads that are noticeable. But it really makes you glow!

They say na magiging oily daw face mo dito sa product na 'to. Haven' tried it yet pero i'll buy one tomorrow. Right now i'm comparing skin white face cream powder and maxi peel concealer as a make up base. :)
